Galescope

Terms of use

Parties and scope

Galescope is a project developed and provided by an independent developer living in Türkiye. Galescope refers to the project, not a separate company or legal entity. These terms govern the relationship between this individual providing the service (“service provider”) and the person using Galescope. Contact for support and requests: info@galescope.com. The service helps organize images, text, videos and links in libraries and visual workspaces.

These terms apply to Local use and Cloud use with a Google account. Continue after reviewing and expressly accepting them. If you do not accept, you may choose not to continue the new session; this choice does not automatically delete existing files. You must have legal capacity to enter into an agreement and obtain your legal representative’s permission where required.

Local: files stay on your device

A Local workspace uses the folder you authorize your browser to access. Files and workspace records are written to that folder; choosing Local does not automatically back up files to Galescope Cloud. Local and Cloud are separate workspaces; switching between them does not transfer content automatically.

Moving or deleting the folder, withdrawing access, device failure or clearing browser data may affect access. Clearing browser data does not necessarily delete the original folder on disk. Keep independent backups of important files. Local use does not mean the website processes no connection or technical service data; online features such as URL previews are described below.

Cloud: account and protection choice

Google sign-in verifies access to your Cloud account. Cloud content is stored in association with your account. Protect access to your Google account and report suspected unauthorized access. Galescope does not ask for your Google password.

Standard Protection uses normal account and server access controls; it does not provide end-to-end encryption. With High Protection, supported workspace content is encrypted in the browser before being sent to Cloud. Information required to operate the service, such as account identity, email, quota, operation times and encrypted data sizes, is outside this content encryption. The protection choice is permanent once setup is complete; switching modes on the same account is not offered.

Keep your High Protection recovery key in a trustworthy place independent of your workspace, and do not share it. If you lose both the key and remembered browser access that can unlock the workspace, Galescope cannot unlock your encrypted content. Recovering your Google account alone does not replace this key.

After unlocking, the browser remembers the unlocking key for the same account on the device; signing out does not erase it. A different browser or cleared site data may require the key again. Encryption does not provide physical device protection against people who can access your open session or device. Content you export, share or open on third-party sites is outside the protection boundary of your Cloud vault.

Rights in content

Rights in your content remain with you or the relevant rights holder. You grant a non-exclusive permission limited to operating the service’s upload, storage, preview, editing, copying and download features. This is not a general permission to publish private content in Galescope advertising, sell it or use it for AI training.

You must have the right to upload and use the content. The availability of an image or video on the internet does not give permission to use it for every purpose. Respect others’ personal data, copyright and other rights. Adding a file to your workspace does not make it a public post.

Acceptable use

Use the service lawfully. Unlawful content, unauthorized account access, malware, attempts to disrupt the system, bypass access or quota controls, or abuse rewards through technical manipulation are prohibited. Lawful security disclosures and good-faith bug reports are not covered by these prohibitions.

To report a rights infringement or security issue, send the relevant link or record information and an explanation to info@galescope.com. Do not send unnecessary private files, passwords or recovery keys. Reports are reviewed within our authority and technical capabilities; there is no promise that we can read encrypted content without its key.

Saving, deletion and backups

Operations depend on connectivity, the browser, folder permissions and storage capacity. Closing a window before saving or uploading completes may cause changes to be lost. Check the result and any error message; automatic saving does not replace an independent backup.

Deleting a card on Board differs from using “Delete from Library”: deleting the source also affects the original file and other cards linked to it. Deleting a file in Library also removes the source. Do not assume every deletion can be undone or recovered. Files previously downloaded or copied elsewhere are not automatically deleted.

Quota, invitations and coupons

Cloud usage is limited by the storage quota shown in your account. New uploads require enough available space. Reward amounts, durations and conditions for current offers appear on the relevant screen; conditions for future campaigns may change with advance notice.

An account can benefit from an invitation reward only once, either by redeeming a code or inviting someone with its code. Each account can redeem a given coupon once; different coupons have their own conditions. Expiry or deactivation stops new redemptions; it does not by itself remove storage already validly earned.

Gift storage is not money or a claim redeemable for cash; it provides capacity on the relevant account. A permanent gift means storage that does not expire because the campaign ends; it does not guarantee the account or service will remain available forever. Mistaken or fraudulent rewards may be corrected with a specific explanation and an opportunity to object.

External links and advertising

Link previews, favicons and embedded content may cause requests to third-party servers. In Local and Standard Protection, the URL preview service may send an added link to the Galescope server and the relevant website. High Protection does not use automatic server-side URL enrichment; opening an external link or loading external content can still contact that site. Encryption does not prevent those sites’ own data processing.

Where advertising is displayed, it does not imply Galescope endorses the advertiser or product. Third-party services reached through ads or links have their own terms. Accepting these terms does not give blanket permission for personalized advertising, marketing messages or non-essential cookies; necessary choices are presented separately.

Service continuity and changes

Galescope aims to operate the service with care; it does not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free operation or a particular speed on every device. Maintenance, browser changes, network issues and external service outages may affect availability. Keep backups; do not use this service as the only copy of critical files.

Significant feature or terms changes are communicated appropriately before taking effect. Material changes requiring new acceptance will request it again; new obligations will not be imposed retroactively on past actions. For a planned service closure, advance notice and an opportunity to retrieve content will be provided as far as legally and technically possible.

Restricting access and closing accounts

Necessary and proportionate access restrictions may be applied for substantiated abuse, serious security risk, a material breach of these terms or a binding legal request. Unless there is an urgent risk or a prohibition on notification, reasons are explained and an opportunity to object is provided.

You can request closure of your Cloud account or make a personal data request through info@galescope.com. Proportionate identity verification may be required. Closing the account does not delete files on your Local disk. Removing Cloud data may require technical cleanup steps. Access ban and operation records that may remain after account deletion are described under Retention and deletion in the privacy notice.

Liability and legal rights

The parties’ liability is determined by applicable law, their fault and the circumstances. Your responsibilities for backups and account access do not remove the service provider’s own obligations.

These terms do not exclude the service provider’s intentional misconduct or gross negligence, essential data security obligations, or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded. Acceptance does not waive the right to bring legal proceedings, complain, exercise personal data rights or use applicable consumer rights.

Applicable law and contact

These terms are prepared for an independent developer based in Türkiye providing the service in their own name. Turkish law applies, without prejudice to mandatory protections applicable to the user and legally competent authorities. Depending on the dispute, you may apply to competent courts, consumer arbitration committees where applicable, and relevant administrative authorities. Legally required procedures remain applicable; no additional preliminary application requirement is imposed beyond them.
